Welcome
My name is Maria Autran and I have been an educator, a songwriter, a performer, and a lifelong learner for most of my life. But above all, I consider myself a dreamer and I believe dreams can be accomplished with tenacity and hard work. I began to write songs when I was eight years old, but it was as an adult that I showcased my songs for the first time at local music festivals in California. I realized then that I wanted to collaborate with local musicians and singers to learn from others and to evolve as an artist. I became inspired to write songs based on life experiences, journal reflections, and even social movements. Over the years, I have collaborated with local talented singers to complete most of my projects and with Roberto Chiofalo, a great musical arranger based in the Bay Area. My wish is to continue working with others on new and exciting projects that can have an impact on education and society. But I also hope that my songs can bring joy to your souls and warm to your hearts.
